Away from the crowds, exploring new places, camera in hand and time to enjoy the wonders of nature. Maybe that's the secret to life... certainly feels like mine.
My Story
Wherever we went, I remember my dad lugging around his trusty Nikon F.
He’d tell me that he wasn’t very good and had a lot to learn, but looking back at those old images shot on film in the early 60’s, dad I have to disagree. You had a talent that you never admitted to.
I got my first camera, a Kodak Instamatic 133, for my 6th birthday!
Over the next 30 or so years photography and a variety of different cameras were always part of my life – mainly just documenting holidays and life events.
My other great passion was traveling and camping.
About 20 years ago, I finally decided to get serious about learning to use my cameras.
To my astonishment I wasn’t that bad at it!
Since then, I’ve learned more and more and enjoyed every minute of it.
Photography has brought me so much joy, I hope to share some here.
